Paypal: Paypal allows you to ship media mail for free using Pitney Bowes. You can use Paypal to ship goods via media mail regardless of whether it is for goods sold using ebay or not. If you sell using ebay, it is quite easy to use Paypal to print media mail postage while shipping. However you can also do it when you have not sold on ebay. Here is the link (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now) for shipping media mail using Paypal if you are not using ebay. Note you need a Paypal account. The only catch I can think of is that they force you to get delivery confirmation. This is not a real issue as merchants often want to get delivery confirmation anyway.
