How Do I Program a Temporary Pin for My Wireless Keypad

Below are instructions on how to set up a temporary garage code PIN. You may authorize access for visitors or service people using this feature.

Programming a Temporary Garage Code PIN

There are two options for setting the temporary PIN.

  • Amount of hours the temporary PIN is available for (e.g. temporary PIN works for 36 hours, then expires)
  • Number of uses the temporary PIN works for (e.g. temporary PIN works 36 times, then expires)

The temporary PIN number will not open the door once it expires, however, it can still be used to close the door.

You must have a Security+ or Security+ 2.0 garage door opener to be able to set a temporary PIN. Temporary PINs cannot be set when using an external receiver or on a green learn button opener.
